His work takes inspiration from explosive jazz from the 1950s/60s such as the jazz messengers and Elvin Jones to name a few and combines these more traditional sounds in jazz with modern and contemporary elements. The band he leads, including Edward Tahourdin (trumpet), Per Alexander (guitar) and David Bullock (bass) formed while studying at Leeds conservatoire and are now expanding their musical horizons and venturing here to Halifax. Expect very energetic and rhythmic music. And drum solos!
